it absolutely works.
it absolutely works. i use it for my garage radio and no more static on my favorite fm station. i attached it to an eave in back of the garage and it looks so cool up there. one happy camper, victor
Excellent, better than I had hoped for. Pulls in stations, crystal clear, that I didn’t even know were on the dial. My favorite stations are much clearer with no static or fading in and out. Stereo effect is better, even on stations that were only mono before. Easy to assemble. Highly recommended.
Now I get stations on my Yamaha tuner where I didn’t get any before using the original 300 ohm wire antenna.
It is a simple device but seems of very good quality and well built. Now I can get stations at my pool-side tuner where I could not get any before with the tuner’s 300 ohm “Y” wire antenna.
The reception was much better using this antenna
The reception was much better using this antenna, however we had to go to a department store to get some accessories to hook it up to our radio. Nothing was included to hook it to the radio and I feel that if your providing an external antenna then you Should also send accessories to hook it to the radio.
I live in a canyon in the Colorado Rockies. Now I can listen to my favorite station on my in home stereo. Thanks. I still have to walk to the top of the hill to use my cell phone but I can now listen to my stereo in comfort.
Solved my problem
Had trouble receiving radio stations in our steel shop . Mounted the antenna outside and now I get stations 80 miles away. The closer stations come in a lot clearer now. Make sure you don’t have transformers plugged in near the radio or you will get static from them. I’m getting another antenna for my garage. I put the antenna that came with the radio against an aluminum ladder in my garage which helped sometimes. the 1byone should give me strong signals all the time.
Okay for an unpowered antenna, not great.
It’s just an unpowered antenna. Nothing special. I tried it for an outdoor antenna near where I currently have a powered indoor antenna. Indoor antenna worked better. But this one pulled in typical unpowered outdoor antenna signals. Maybe if attached to an antenna booster it would do better.
Works great. So good in fact that
Works great. So good in fact that, I bought a second. Both are being used on some rural property I own where the reception can be iffy. Now, even distant stations are clear.
If you want improved FM reception, this is a great choice!
Before I mounted this antenna on a 20 foot pole, I was getting a whopping 4 FM stations on my main stereo receiver. Now, I lost count at 15. Easily outperforms any FM antenna I’ve tried. I figure the high pole mount (18 feet up) helps, but this is a great antenna, very sturdy, and I couldn’t possibly be more pleased with it.
Does what an antennae should very well!
It arrived in good shape on time, easy to assemble with good brief instructions. Cable and mast must be ordered separately, screw-on BNC 75 ohm cable. Discovered that my stereo receiver only has a push-on BNC input so had to get an adapter to go from screw-on to push -on. FM stations went from one or none to 30 or more instantly. Should have done this years ago.
