Quality product that works great!

I used the SXHA1 antenna to replace the home satellite antenna that shipped with my SIRIUS home receiver. The verdict: I am now getting a stronger signal with the SXHA1.

Improved a weak signal, even with obstructions

I was having signal issues with my XM Roady receiver. The antenna was originally located in a closet on the top floor of my house, but I began to have issues and the music would break-up due to a weak signal. My first move was to purchase the “SIRIUS XM Radio Universal 20′ Antenna Extension” (also on Amazon) and relocate the antenna on my roof. This worked somewhat better, but would still break-up due to a large tree that was obstructing the NW view of the sky (I am in TN). I purchased the AudioVox SXHA1 and used an RG59 coupler to connect it to my 20′ extension. The signal went from 1 bar to three and the music does not break-up.

Be patient waiting for signal

I mounted this on a tower tv antenna, ran the cable through the attic down to my radio. And nothing happened. Radio still dead. After stressing and crying for 15 minutes that it was a waste of time, it finally kicked in and I had good full signal. Has worked great ever since (I’ve had it for ~3 months now).

Pleased to get reception again

I purchased this antenna to replace another Sirius outdoor antenna that has been in service for about 10 years. The radio was losing reception due to decreased signal strength and I had tried to re-aim the old antenna and the signal was still fading in and out. So I purchased this antenna to replace the one I currently have, and was delighted to get 10 bars back again.

Great inexpensive solution to reception problems

I had a docking station for my Sirius radio in my woodshop. This had an external antenna, but the antenna wire limited where I could place my antenna. A tree had grown and blocked clear view of the sky. The signal would drift in and out – showing 0 strength on the tuning screen. Installation of the AudioVox SXHA1 antenna was easy, it allowed me to place the antenna in a preferred location. Signal strength is now maximized.

Full bars on my receiver

Just what I need to get full bars on my receiver. I used my existing coaxial cable in my house. Since I was not using cable tv any longer it works prefect to use the existing lines, so I didn’t have to run new lines. Includes in the kit the adapter which is about 18 inches long to go from your receiver external antenna to the coaxial cable. It has the female to coaxial, so you won’t need an adapter to go from a male on your coaxial cable.

Improved the signal strength dramatically. Mounted it on the eave at top of house,(I didn’t have a south facing window, so the inside antenna was prone to constant dropouts when anybody walked across the room). I know this is a digital signal, but I swear the sound quality improved also!

Crystal clear reception.

Very easy to install. HUGE PLUS is that it uses regular coaxial cable (like your cable or satellite TV) so you can mount it on to the outside of your home and just follow the cables in. Takes time to do it right, but you want it right, don’t you? Construction of the unit worries me a little because it is somewhat flimsy, so keep in mind that it will be exposed to the elements. Replacement would be easy though, and the unit itself is inexpensive.

Excellent reception.

Easy install and well made for plastic. Simple clamping system to any normal pole or building. I was done in minutes. My signal indicator stays in the top section. Been through several heavy storms and high winds with no problems. I do recommend you seal all coax connections for a water tight trouble free install.
