Cheap, utilitarian DVD for easy use anywhere, Works great…stands up to abuse. Need one that works with TV’s with composite inputs (yellow/red/white) before they disappear…this one does.

Great little basic DVD player. It hooked right up . Comes w/ power cord and plugs to connect to TV. Has a lot of functions on the remote and picture looks good.

My $995 Bose Wave System CD player stopped working. And because of its age, Bose would not repair it. So, I was looking for a small disc player to set next to the Wave System so that I can play CDs/CDRs/CDRWs. This fits the bill. There is no display, since it is primarily a DVD player. But for a price that was a fraction of the cost for a repair, I can now play CDs through the Bose system again. Happy!!

It does play all of the listed formats but not well in all.

I purchased this mainly for the ability to look at photographs (JPEG format on a disc) on my TV, and although it does allow you to do that, it is EXTREMELY SLOW and cumbersome to navigate. At first I thought the player and the control were messed up but when I tried playing a DVD movie, it worked well so then I realized that it was the programing for the JPEG format that was the problem. Since I have never seen another such player offered by any other company, I will keep this for my purpose but just will not be able to enjoy looking at all of my thousands of photographs as I had envisioned 🙁

Perfectly Basic

I was looking for a basic DVD player with AV connections and not an HDMI connection so that I could connect the video source into my projector and the audio source into external speakers. This player is perfect for what I need. It is light weight, compact and very basic. The only downside is that if you lose or break the remote, there is no play button on the player itself, just the power and eject button. That’s the only reason it didn’t get 5 stars…and there is not an option for a half star.
