Works fine but missing a few features I’m used to

This is a pretty standard DVD player – it plays a DVD with no problems, great. However it is missing a few features that I am used to having with a DVD player. For one, if you pause the DVD for longer than around ten minutes you will no longer be able to start it where you left off – instead you will be starting your movie over from the beginning. Also, there is no display telling you where you are in the movie, so there’s no way to know exactly how far you are into the movie unless you track when you start it. Neither of these are very big deals, and this is a fairly low cost DVD player so it’s no frills. But those are things to think about before making the purchase.

NIce DVD Player with HDMI Output

Nice little DVD player. Works great. I particularly like that it has HDMI output. I’ve had a hard time finding one that does. Certainly can’t go wrong with the price. I was surprised though that it didn’t include an HDMI cable. Instead it came with a set of RCA cables. (It does work with RCA cables.)

Works good and great value

I bought this when the DVD portion of my old but expensive and hardly used Blu Ray went out. I’ve watched a few movies on it and it works great. If you pause it too long it will automatically shut off for you. You’ll have to advance back to the part of the movie you stopped at, but there’s a button to do that and it works fine. Found my spot in just a minute. It’s reasonably priced enough that if it lasts a few years and quits it’ll still be a decent deal. Hopefully it will stand the test of time.

Timeout sleep mode way too short

Works great for an inexpensive unit. I got this because I wanted a small footprint for a low use item. So far it has worked well, the remote is simple and easy to use, no setup issues. One thing I do not like it the timeout, I would like no time out or sleep mode or at least the ability to select different times. When it goes to sleep, you lose your place. The timeout is way too short…

Only plays CDs if the TV is turned on.

I have two problems the biggest one being the unit will play CDs ONLY when also connected to a television set. There are many times I want to play CDs – which of course are audio only – with the audio going directly to the audio system and the TV turned off. The CD will play for a few minutes and then shuts down. If the TV is on, it plays the CD quite nicely.

Worked great

I got two of these to run different TV’s at a trade show. They’re the least expensive I could find with an HDMI port and both worked flawlessly, even when we ran then straight for a week, 24 hours a day on a continuous loop. They’re a nice small size too. The only thing, you need the control since not all the buttons you need are on the actual player but that wasn’t an issue for me.
