Easy to use, great picture, nice size. As a novice in projectors, this is easy and very nice
Got the projector out of the box, plugged it in to the wall, turned it on and hooked it up to my computer. Within a ten minutes of receiving it I had YouTube 15 ft wide on my wall.
The Epson VS240 vs Epson EX3240
VS is value series of Epson projectors. The EX series has a wider array of choices reaching into the additional models that give you a true 1080p or greater image. This new VS240 gives you 3000 color lumens, and 3000 lumens of white brightness. The comparable projector in the EX series gives you 3200 in each of those areas, a negligible difference. However the EX 3240 costs about 25% more than the VS value series. The 800 x 600 resolution is the same, and it has all of the same inputs. They are both SVGA 3LCD projectors. Like I said the only difference I can see is the additional 200 lumens of light.
Bought this for the master bedroom with a 100 inch screen to watch movies in bed. I am beyond impressed with how it turned out. Picture looks great and even though I also purchased Bluetooth speakers to go with it, the speaker on this unit is actually pretty good. Only downside is that it does put out quite a bit of heat when running and needs to be in a well ventilated space; I could see it heating up a small room very quick!
This projector works wonderfully and the display was very good in light and dark settings. I scoured the internet and Amazon reading view after review for the projector that would work best for me on movie nights and during presentations and I am absolutely pleased with this Epson model. I connected external speakers for greater sound and it worked even better. The set up is very easy and offers great quality visuals.
… this projector for presentations and so far I am happy with it in my presentations
I want to use this projector for presentations and so far I am happy with it in my presentations. The one disappointment I had is that I cannot use a Powerpoint presentation on a memory stick with it, even though it has a slot for a memory stick. It does not have the functionality to do that.
Great picture, very bright
We purchased this to do movies in our backyard. Great picture, very bright. We’ve started the movie slightly before dusk and it still shows great. We had a little trouble connecting another sound system to it but finally figured out a way. The speaker on it has worked for small groups if you sit close to the projector but definitely want something bigger for larger groups.
Great Picture Quality, Surprisingly good sound
I originally intended to purchase this projector strictly for business meeting presentations. And it’s perfect for projecting PowerPoint Presentations onto a whiteboard. The projector is extremely bright, so your audience shouldn’t have any issues viewing it in a brightly lit room. I couldn’t resist testing it out by using it for Youtube, movies, etc., and that’s where this projector amazed me. I projected a movie onto a blank wall in my home and was blown away by the video quality and clarity of it. The speakers can also get surprisingly loud.
Great projector, except….
I bought this projector to replace a cheaper one that didn’t last. This projector is good quality for the price. The difference between this projector and the “other” cheaper projectors is night and day. Bright colors and and an excellent picture. I gave four stars because this projector has no audio output. There are options to bypass this, but I think audio output should be a given when making this type of purchase. I would think audio output is relevant whether you are doing a presentation or watching media. It is for me, so I am returning this projector. Overall this is a good projector for the price. If you want simple hook-up of audio you may need to spend a bit more for a better projector better suited for home theather use and external speakers. This projector worked well in a light room, daytime with no lights on, curtains open. The HD is wonderful.
