Amazing outdoor theater experience!
We used this projector for a movie night in the backyard. It made more sense to buy a projector than renting one, and after reading all the other reviews, we chose GooDee Video Projector 200″. We also purchased a pull down screen from a store in our town…To set up a great outdoor movie experience you need to wait until it’s dark outside, we tried at dawn and couldn’t see the image on the screen but as it started to get dark, the image appeared nice and clear. We used computer speakers (creative labs 2 speakers with Subwoofer) as the projector speakers are good for indoors, they are not enough for outdoors.
The projector is pretty simple to set up and use, the image is clear and sharp.
I tried the usual HDMI input (from a cable box) and used a Chromecast HDMI using the projector’s USB power port. There are also VGA and Composite Video/Audio ports which I haven’t tried, included was a short cable to accept a separate Composite Video, L-Audio and R-Audio cables. (It is getting harder to find VGA and Composite Video sources for testing.) Besides the USB power port, there’s another USB port and a slot for an SD card.
Both the picture quality and the brightness are good. Occasionally you need to turn on the lights
It was deliberately used for a few days before it was evaluated. The highest resolution is 1680*1050, the interface has VGA HDMI USB AV and SD memory card, you can also use the tricolor line of traditional TV. Both the picture quality and the brightness are good. Occasionally you need to turn on the lights, and there is no impact on the viewing. Of course, the impact is definitely there, and a remote control is provided. This allows you to walk around and debug it. The only regret is that there is no bracket, there is no reserved interface, so you can only use it on the desktop, if you use in the conference room, you will find it very good, home use is also a good choice.
My second projector – quality build and a nice, clear, bright picture!
My first projector purchase was the QKK mini projector and although it was decent for the price, it locked up 3 times to where I had to unplug the cord. I decided to return it while I could, just in case and did more research, decided to upgrade a bit and for a little more money, I came across the glowing reviews of this projector. It did not disappoint. Firstly, it’s solidly built. It’s heavier than the mini ones, but it feels like a more quality product. The QKK had a bit of blurring on the edges that was bearable for the price, but this one seemed to be much sharper, with better focusing. I was watching Winter Soldier and being able to see the pores on the cheeks of the actors. Obviously, this will do better in a dark room and to be honest, I’m shooting against a light sage wall, so I’m not sure I can comment much on the semi-daylight quality. Overall, I’m very happy with it and it will definitely make movie nights much better than the sub $100 projectors. It’s worth the upgrade, in my humble opinion.
Very satisfied after returning a cheaper model
I originally purchased a less expensive model that was well rated and worked OK but wasn’t bright enough for a large projection in a room where it was to be used. What a difference this makes! Even at mid day with sun coming in around the edges of the window shades the image is bright and clear. This is used to project from a ceiling mount onto a wall about 15 feet away. It is being used with a PC in an office on a daily basis. The projector was easy to set up and use. It doesn’t take long to warm up or cool down – it can be used within 30 seconds of turning it on. I purchased the waranty since we will be using it quite a bit. This is a little bigger and heavier than the projector I originally purchased and returned, but it could be used as a portable if you were careful to pack it safely. I can’t report on how long the bulb lasts, but so far it is exactly as described and seems to be a good value.
