I couldn’t have been more pleased with the picture quality
Bought this projector for an outdoor movie screening event in my backyard. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the picture quality, brightness and the sound (although I did decide to hook up my in-home surround sound system blue ray player to it, which was super easy). I’ve since connected my Ruko stick with the provided HDMI cable and streamed Netflix through the projector, attached my JBL Bluetooth speaker with an AUX cable, and even used the HDMI to connect my MacBook so we could watch old home movies and flip through photos through the projector. One of the best purchases I’ve made in years. Oh! Almost forgot my favorite carrying case. Intimate design, comfortable fabrics, ideal for carrying out or storage.
Great picture and easy of use
I bought this projector to use outside on clear nights to break up the usual “watch the TV” every night. I removed it from the box and laid out everything to ensure everything was there and it was. It comes with an HDMI cable, a 3 way Audio/Video cable and power cable. It has a remote that will control the projector only, a rubber lens cap and of course a power cable. It has a speaker that is made into the projector and is quiet sufficient for indoor use but it can be hooked up to external speakers using the ear phones connection on the side. It also comes with a fabric case that is well made with 2 separate compartments in the base and another folder like pocket on the lid. The left compartment in the base is for the projector itself it has to straps that connect with Velcro to hold the project firmly in place when being carried. The 2nd is a little smaller and it is to hold all of the cables and remote. It does not have any straps to hold any of the cables in place however with everything placed in the compartment that comes with the projector, it fits snugly and doesn’t need anything to hold it all in the compartment. The pocket in the lid is mainly for the manual and quick start guide. You could put the remote or a cable or 2 in it but there is no way to ensure it would not slide over on top of the projector. I don’t think a cable would damage the projectors case but the remote could damage the lens housing, that just my opinion. It does not come with a wifi dongal. that you will have to buy separately. The quick start guide is real easy to understand as well as the user manual. My 7 year old nephew used the quick start to connect the cables and start a movie playing that’s how easy it is to use. It has a housing made of plastic and 2 ways to adjust the picture. The first is for adjusting the clarity of the picture and the second is to adjust what I would call the “tilt” of the picture vertically on the screen. It was actually setup for a perfect picture from the factory if you place the projector about 6 to 7 feet from the screen. It can be placed closer for a smaller screen size or a bit further away for a much larger screen, however the further back you go over 10 feet the harder I think it is to bring the picture into focus. it isn’t so bad that it can’t be done but the picture is great at 6 to 7 feet and quiet large at that distance so I didn’t place it any further than 10 feet away and the picture was still great.

I purchased the Vankyo Leisure 3 LED projector after having it on my wish list for quite a while. I was inspired to bite the bullet and make the purchase after a friend bought a projector (a different make/model) and really loved it.
Just great all the way around.
I spent the week testing and playing with this unit after having another projector (not this brand) that wouldn’t even work for half of a movie. I am well pleased with this unit, it is exactly what I would expect out of a projector. I tested this with a USB drive, and I was able to access the files on it, and then using my laptop with the HDMI cable to watch movies. I am planning on having a dedicated DVD player for watching movies in the future.
A Small Effective Projector Reasonably Priced
This is a small projector with a modest price. It’s as good as I’d hope it could be for the price I paid. I’m used to projectors with at least 2200 lumen and this 1800 lumen unit projects a slightly darker image. It’s still quite sharp and very usable for pictures and movies at home. Huge pluses for the Vankyo Leisure are its compact size and the complete set of cords that come with it. The printed instructions are adequate but could be more complete. The focus and keystone features must be handled on the machine because there are no easily found options to use the remote. That said, both work very well. The carrying case is a nice feature. There’s nothing fancy about this projector but it works very well and does not throw off much heat. I hope to use it to show family pics and share movies and videos and it should serve well for that. I’d like to use it for some presentations I will make for business and am a bit puzzled that the directions say it shouldn’t be used with Microsoft Word or Power Point. Why? That’s one of the reasons I couldn’t give this unit five stars. All that said, I’m sure I’ll be happy with it.
A great product
In June of 2017 I acquired an excellent projector of 3000 real lumens. I did it with two objectives: to see cinema at home and use it in the conferences of classical literature that I usually dictate. However, after a few months, I fixed the projector on the roof of my house. Although I can dismantle it, I understood that it could be risky to do it constantly. From this I decided I acquired another projector. Browsing Amazon I discovered the Vankyo Leisure 3 Led mini projector of 1800 lumens. The opinions of the customers were excellent. Finally, I bought that new portable projector. Despite the super favorable reviews, I was somewhat disappointed when I read that they did not recommend it for Power Point presentations. Upon receiving it, however, I was amazed with the weight of the projector, its size and the quality of the image it produced on my cinema screen. Frankly, I was competing with the other projector that I have 3000 lumens. Given the quality of the projected image, I decided to make a try the slides of one of my lectures. If it can be used in Power Point and Key Note presentations! As recommended by another buyer, it is advisable, in order to obtain higher quality, that the titles that appear on the screen be quite large. But I assure you that the graphics and videos that I include in the lectures are seen with great clarity and quality. I am pleased to have made this acquisition. Of course I recommend the Vankyo mini portable.
Love our New At Home Movie Theater!
I have already used this projector to watch multiple movies in my home. I bought it to watch portable movies that could be either indoors or out and this will work perfectly. I especially loved the feature to use a usb to play movies so that when I was taking it around I would not have to lug around a bunch of other media equipment as well. I could not get it to recognize files other than MP4 so the picture quality was a little less than I was hoping for, but at this price and for what I bought it for it is on point. It was very easy for me to turn on and use right out of the box. I was watching it on a wall, but I could see us being able to display it on the garage door or side of the garage outside as well. I am sure the best picture would be if using a screen or white sheet though. Love that it came with the cables, cover, and a bag. Makes for easy storage and traveling. I use a 2.0 usb flash drive to watch MP4 video files, but FYI it also recognized my other files I had saved on he drive as well so I am sure you could show documents, a picture/slide show and other media types depending on the reason for purchasing. It was shipped and at my doorstep in just days after my purchase and my family was super excited to turn it on and make some popcorn. The first movie we watched was through the included HDMI cable from our laptop and the picture quality with it at about 90″ was just fine for us. I would recommend to anyone (and already have by word of mouth!). I also had a question for their customer service team and they responded by the next business day so I would say that is a good sigh as well. My only critique would be to have more detailed instructions in the package. But I could see how with the increased access of the internet now, more and more people will just look for additional help there and do not require as detailed a manual.
